MetLife Life Insurance has relocated its headquarters to G1 Seoul in Jongno-gu, central Seoul, as part of efforts to improve collaboration, streamline decision-making and foster a more agile corporate culture.
The insurer held a ceremony Oct. 6 attended by MetLife Asia President Lyndon Oliver, MetLife Life Insurance Board Chair Park Hye-kyung, National Office and Financial Services Trade Union Chairman Lee Jae-jin and employees.
The move brings teams previously spread across multiple floors into a more integrated workspace, designed to encourage cross-departmental cooperation, boost efficiency and improve customer service.
Built around the “MetLife Village” concept, the new office features dedicated spaces for individual work, collaboration and employee interaction. The design also incorporates traditional Korean elements, including roof tiles, lattice patterns and the five traditional colors, reflecting the company's local identity within its global brand.
“This relocation marks an important milestone in MetLife Life Insurance’s more than 30-year journey with customers in Korea and demonstrates our firm commitment to the market,” Oliver said, adding that the new office would support innovation, efficiency and long-term growth.
MetLife Life Insurance CEO Song Young-rok said the company would use the new workspace to strengthen its capabilities and deliver more differentiated customer experiences through continued innovation.
